Since 1983, Bauer Financial has been the source for unbiased, independent bank and credit union analysis and reporting. Their ratings and reports are compiled quarterly from the detailed financial reports that financial institutions file with federal regulators. After analyzing that data, a star-rating is assigned based on a scale of zero to five stars with five being the strongest.
